 Frequently Asked Questions How does Tonnix work? How do I get started? Sign up and create your Mega Millions membership by clicking Join Now. We assign each account to a pool that lasts for 8 drawings. You have instant access to your tickets and winnings, and you can withdraw your winnings at any time. At the end of each pool period, you're billed and assigned to a new pool. For more details on how Tonnix works, see our Terms of Use. How much does it cost? Your Online Lottery Club membership will automatically renew at a rate of $19.95 every four weeks. Can anyone play? Almost. You just have to be at least 18 years old. What lotteries do you play? We currently play Mega Millions and plan to join Power Ball soon. Are lottery clubs and pools legal? No worries. Everything's legit. States with lotteries recognize lottery clubs and pool playing as legal. Tonnix does not sell lottery tickets, but rather promotes pool playing and other strategies to enhance club members' chances of winning. If there are no lotteries where you live, this might be your only opportunity to play. How many shares are in a pool? Each pool has 10 shares (or open spots for participants), with each participant allowed one share each. Each pool participates in 8 drawings. How many tickets are assigned to each pool ? At the beginning of each pool, 10 tickets are generated which are valid for all 8 of the drawings in which the pool participates. How do you choose my numbers? Our computer system, developed exclusively for this club, analyzes lotteries using a specific criteria to select number combinations having the best chances. In how many drawings does a pool participate? A pool lasts for four weeks and participates in 8 drawings. The Mega Millions drawings are held twice a week on Tuesday and Friday. A pool participates in a total of 8 drawings. When does a new pool start? We start new pools each week. Tuesday is the first drawing date for new pools; the cut-off time is Saturday at 11:00 PM Eastern Time. Accounts created after that time will be placed in a pool for the next week. How fast are the drawing results updated? Fast! We update the drawing result only seconds after the drawing and winnings are calculated instantly! How am I notified if I won? There are various ways. In the Manage Email Alerts section of the website, you can elect to be notified any time a winning has been posted to your account. You may also elect to be notified when your total winnings are greater than a specified amount. How do I claim my winnings? To claim your winnings, simply log into your account and make a withdrawal. Once you request a withdrawal a check will be mailed to the current address. What share of the winnings will I receive? If your numbers are drawn, your pool receives 80% of the winnings, divided equally among your 10 members. The remaining 20% goes to Tonnix management to pay for the operation of the club and website. Who pays the taxes for winnings? Each party specifically agrees and acknowledges that it is responsible for the payment of its own taxes on income received from the joint ownership of lottery tickets as well as filing any required forms with the United States Internal Revenue Service or the appropriate local authorities. How can I cancel my membership? Just go online to Account Options and select Cancel Membership. There are no cancellation fees. We'll automatically send you a check with all of your winnings at the end of the current pool. |
